Tarangire National Park
The trip starts from your hotel in Moshi (or Arusha) early in the morning. This day you will visit Tarangire National Park which has an area of about 2,850 km2.
Tarangire is a very nice park with very beautiful scenery and moreover it has one of the highest population density of elephants. It has its name from the big river – The Tarangire River – which runs through the park. Even though the water level gets low during the dry season (June to October) it is the primary water source for the animals.
Therefore, during this season you will find great herds of especially wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and giraffes. Among the other common animals in the Tarangire are the leopards, lions, hyenas, and the cheetah.
Tarangire has the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti eco-system. The park also has a great population of birds – more than 500 different species so there is plenty to experience in this lovely park.
Besides the rich wildlife, you will also enjoy amazing nature with a lot of beautiful trees like the unique Baobab tree.
Definitely a very rewarding park.
You can choose from a wide selection of accommodation within the park or in the area outside the park to suit your needs and budget. You can also choose to drive a few hours to the town Karatu close to Ngorongoro Conservation Area ready for next day adventure.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Ngorongoro is a unique nature. In 1979 it was admitted to UNESCO´s World Heritage List. The reserve covers an area of about 8,290 km2 and is an interesting safari area, where you can experience many kinds of wildlife up close.
The Ngorongoro Crater it’s a natural wonder. It was created when the Ngorongoro volcano sank after a major eruption. It is the largest intact and non-flooded caldera in the world.
The crater has an area of 260 km2 and is an absolutely indescribable sight with lots of wildlife. It is also here that chances of meeting the rhino are great!
You can choose from a wide selection of accommodation within the area or by the crater edge according to your wishes and budget. You can also choose to go back to Karatu.
The safari on day 3 is taking place in Serengeti. Ngorongoro and Serengeti are adjacent to each other
Serengeti is without doubt something special with its endless plains and millions of wild animals. The Park covers an area about 14,760 km2.
It is an indescribable sight to look over these plains where it flocks with thousands of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles.
It is on these plains that The Great Migration takes place every year – the world’s biggest mammal migration – where more than two million animals, with a clear majority of wildebeests, are walking in flocks from one end of the park to the other in the search of fresh green grass. A very amazing and unique sight.
In December/January the wildebeest will arrive to the southern grasslands, ready for calving in February.
Accommodation will be in Lodge or Tented Camp inside the park. There are different options to suit your wishes and budget.
The experiences on the Serengeti plains are many. There is a great number of different wild life, and the park is also known for its large population of lions, which you can get quite close to.
There is also a great opportunity to see the different predators hunt. When they have finished the prey, the hyenas and other scavengers will take care of the left overs.
Accommodation in Lodge or Tented Camp inside the park according to your wishes and budget.
Manyara National Park
PManyara National Park

The first part of the park takes you through the rain forest, where you will be met by many different kinds of monkeys. In the park you can also meet zebras, impalas, elephants, giraffes, lions and buffalos and many more.
The Manyara Lake is very beautiful, and it is home to thousands of pelicans, pretty pink flamingos and hippos. Also you will be able to spot a lot of other bird species.
